Cosmetic treatments are used to improve the look of the patient’s teeth and can include teeth whitening and veneers.

Restorative dentistry is used to repair and restore damaged teeth in order to keep proper bite and function.

Full/Partial Dentures

Dentures are a popular way to replace missing teeth. They can be used to replace all teeth or just a few. Denture technology has come a long way in the last few decades so you can be assured that your dentures will look realistic and fit your mouth well.

Dental crowns

When a tooth is damaged, decayed, or cracked, it is possible to save it by fixing a crown. A crown is a cap that is placed over the top of the tooth to restore the look and function of the original. You may also need to have crowns fitted in order to attach a dental bridge between them.

Dental Bridges

A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is attached at either end to an existing tooth. Bridges can be used as a long term alternative to dentures and prevent your original remaining teeth from becoming damaged or moving out of position, causing other issues.

Fillings

When a tooth is damaged or decayed, a filling is used to replace the areas of the tooth removed by your dentist. The tooth can be filled with a range of materials including composite resin, gold, or amalgam. The location and extent of damage will determine which material is used.

Dental Implants

These are gaining popularity as a solution to replacing missing teeth. Dental implants are done by fixing a metal post to the jaw bone, then attaching a crown.

Patients need to have the necessary bone density and gum tissue for implants to be successful but most people are suitable candidates.

Once placed, dental implants can last for decades with good oral hygiene.

Benefits of restorative dentistry

Your oral health plays a huge part in your overall well-being. Many people with missing or damaged teeth feel embarrassed or lack confidence. We take a non-judgemental approach to dentistry, our only goal is to give you the smile you want and help you keep it that way.

Replacing gaps in the teeth can improve your speech and shape of the face as well as ensuring the existing teeth do not move position.
